Jerry Thomas, FNP-C, received his BSN, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, where he graduated summa cum laude with highest distinction. He went on to obtain his Masters of Nurse Practitioner from Loyola University New Orleans.
With more than 5 years’ experience working as an RN in rural hospital emergency medicine, Jerry is no stranger to caring for and treating patients with health care needs crossing all generations of life. Jerry has participated in diagnosing and treating a broad range of conditions and injuries. He is also comfortable with all aspects of geriatric care including nutrition, exercise, and preventive care.
Jerry has always been driven by a passion to help and connect with other people. He felt drawn to a career in the medical field through nursing. After years of working as an RN, he pursued and achieved the distinction of Family Nurse Practitioner, which allows him to help patients even further by working with them on comprehensive treatment plans.
Jerry approaches patient care with a philosophy of listening, shared decisions, and options. He believes that overall health and outcomes are better when the patient is involved with their plan of care and given options to choose from. As he listens to patients, he also pays attention to body language, which can provide more insights into the best treatment plan for each patient.

When not seeing patients, Jerry enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and family. He also enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and lake boating.
As an Eagle Scout, he is also involved in the community, helping with various community projects that benefit the greater good.
